Screeny digital screen printing plates are coated with an ablation layer (LAMS layer) which is applied to the photopolymer. This ablation layer is digitally removed using a dot laser. The screen printing plate is then exposed, washed out and mounted using the tried-and-tested process steps.
The tried-and-tested printing processes remain unchanged. The aim is to integrate Screeny Digital into the existing digital flexo workflow. A typical device for digital imaging with Screeny Digital is a CDI device from Esko.
With Screeny Digital, it is possible to enter the CtP sector with rotary screen printing without conversion costs or additional investments. An analog film is no longer required.
