Gallus Labelfire 340 – Bring digital fire into your home BIRKHÄUSER

15.11.2016

The world's first series-produced machine from Gallus has been in operation since the beginning of September at SCHELLING AG's subsidiary, BIRKHÄUSER AG, in Reinach, Switzerland. The gem is called Gallus Labelfire 340 and was developed by Gallus in collaboration with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. It combines the latest digital printing technology with the advantages of conventional printing and finishing technology. This enables cost-effective production of runs with variable data, personalization, and short runs. In addition, an inline camera control system has been integrated into the machine for 100% web inspection.

digital printing

The combination of digital white, CMYK, and the color space extension colors orange, violet, and green results in 7-color separation. This allows large parts of the Pantone color space to be covered.

flexographic printing

The machine has four UV flexographic printing units featuring proven Gallus technology. These also enable the use of special effects such as metallic or neon colors.

Finishing / Further processing

The inline finishing process makes it possible to coat, laminate, finish with cold foil, and further process with a die cutter in a single production run.
