Over 850 visitors from all over the world attended the Gallus Innovation Days 2016 from the 20th to 22nd September at the Gallus Ferd. Rüesch AG headquarters in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The main focal points of this three-day showcase – the second event of its kind – were the world premiere of the new Gallus Labelmaster machine platform for label and packaging printing, the 2016 highlights from the company’s machinery and service portfolio, and the ranges of printing accessories and Gallus Screeny screen printing plates.

Gallus ECS 340 No 400 sold to Relieves Egara in Barcelona

At the Gallus Innovation Days, which took place in St.Gallen from the 20th to 22nd September, the 400th label press of the Gallus ECS 340 series was sold to the Spanish label printing company Relieves Egara. The Gallus ECS 340 is thus by far the most successful label press in its class. "We already have several Gallus label printing machines in operation, including two Gallus ECS 340, and we are extremely satisfied with the high quality, the productivity and flexibility of these presses,”, says Josep Gamundi, CEO of Relieves Egara.

World premiere of a new machine platform for label printing at the Gallus Innovation Days 2016

The second Gallus Innovation Days event will be held from 20 to 22 September this year, again at the Gallus headquarters in St.Gallen, Switzerland, and visitors will once again be treated to a world premiere. Gallus will be presenting the first pre-series model of a new machine generation – a label printing machine that is designed for the label and packaging market.

As part of the presentation of the new digital product portfolio at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) under the family name "Fire", the digital converting system Gallus DCS 340, developed by Heidelberg/Gallus and Fujifilm, also receives a new name as of drupa 2016: Gallus Labelfire 340.

Gallus’s commitment to digital printing showing strong results

Gallus and its parent company Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG recently announced that the new product family of all Heidelberg and Gallus digital printing systems would be marketed in future under the “Fire” name. Building on the momentum that started at Label Expo 2015 Swiss-bassed Gallus reports two more completed sales of the newly launched Gallus Labelfire 340 (previously the Gallus DCS 340). Two Gallus customers – a label print shop from Switzerland and a customer from the European Economic Area – have each opted for this digital label printing system and signed the purchase contracts for immediate installation.

Labelexpo Europe 2015 – Gallus presents explosion of innovations

Gallus once again offered an impressive demonstration of its ability to innovate with two upgraded printing press systems – the Gallus RCS 430 and Gallus ECS 340 – as well as the market launch of the Gallus DCS 340 digital label printing system. The company’s successful appearance at the Labelexpo trade fair in Brussels was topped off by a new generation of its Screeny screen printing plates and new printing accessories from Gallus Original Parts & Consumables.
