Greek label printer ETPA Packaging has installed a Gallus ECS 340 at its production site in Komotini in northeastern Greece.
The company, headquartered in Athens, was founded in 1983 and specializes in self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible materials. To expand its range and offer its customers the best solutions in label printing, George Ekonomou, Sales Director at ETPA Packaging, opted for a Gallus ECS 340. The machine not only consists of nine flexographic printing units and four screen printing units, but is also suitable for cold foil, reverse printing on adhesive, UV lamination with mono film, and lamination with self-adhesive material.
Mr. Ekonomou is particularly impressed by the machine, "because it offers unparalleled flexibility, especially when printing silk screen jobs."
Due to its size – ETPA Packaging is almost twice as large as its competitors – the company is also Greece's strongest label printer.
ETPA Packaging is a leader in the label business. This is evident, for example, in the fact that trends originating at ETPA have a strong impact on the local label market. In addition, ETPA is the only Greek company certified as a global supplier to well-known multinational corporations. ETPA currently has 120 qualified employees, and the number of new hires is growing steadily. The company also invests continuously in new technologies and productive machinery.
As a modular, in-line printing press with direct drive, the Gallus RCS 430/570 can be configured and expanded as required. Individual printing processes can be exchanged without web separation. Thanks to the high degree of automation in all modules, the machine impresses with minimal waste and greatly reduced changeover times. The Gallus RCS 430/570 also features dynamic print delivery, web tension, longitudinal and cross register presetting, and automatic washing devices.
