For the first time ever, on November 21st 2017, Gallus hosted the event “Packaging Enhancement” initiated by INNO-PACK.NET. The initiative was founded to connect companies and institutions in the packaging industry in the area of Lake Constance. By organizing regular events, INNO-PACK.NET aims at creating a network of people of the industry that can be used as a common ground for communication and innovation in industry, science and the media.

The main focus of the event was the embellishment of packaging. The 20 visitors, who all work in the packaging industry or sciences, were informed about today’s state of the art and application possibilities, presented by competent experts of the industry.
Demonstrations were held live on the Gallus label printing machines Gallus RCS 430 and Gallus Labelfire in their new Print Media Center Label. After that, the guests got an overview of the development from special-effect print varnishes to the finished packaging.
Closing the event, the guests had the opportunity to discuss and deepen the various topics during an aperitif. The topics presented earlier were once more exposed on posters, stands and samples so that the participants could further talk about possible future projects and developments.
