Heidelberg focuses on growing label market and strengthens Gallus sites

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is further expanding its commitment to the growing label market. As part of this, the Gallus Group sites in Switzerland and Germany have already been strengthened through targeted investments and divided into competence centers. The next step will be to reorganize the headquarters in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and develop it into a competence center for digital label printing.

Gallus delivers fifth Labelmaster to Nordvalls in Scandinavia

Gallus Ferd. Rüesch AG has ordered its fifth Gallus Labelmaster 440 Advanced – a 10-colour flexo press with two screen printing stations – at Scandinavian adhesive label specialist, Nordvalls. As part of a five-year plan with the goal of upgrading and to drive increased press consistency, Nordvalls set an earlier date for the installation of their fourth and most recently installed Labelmaster to meet increased demand from customers. Now the fifth is on its way in the space of five years.

Faubel & Co. Nachf. GmbH, based in Melsungen, Germany, is expanding its machine park with a Gallus Labelmaster. The Gallus Labelmaster convinces the company group particularly in terms of simplicity, speed and safety. Faubel will mainly produce multi-layer labels for the pharmaceutical sector on the Gallus Labelmaster.

Food-compliant label production with the Gallus Labelfire Low Migration

Enabling the production of certified food-compliant labels with the Gallus Labelfire: The low migration version of the Gallus Labelfire is designed to produce food-compliant packaging in accordance with EU regulations and Swiss Ordinance. For this purpose, the joint Gallus/Heidelberg development team developed the Labelfire UVLM ink series, which is suitable for food contact packaging.

Flex ON, spol. s r.o. (Flexon) has been in the market since 1994. They provide their customers full service in manufacturing self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging. Flexon mainly uses Gallus machines from Switzerland. Another investment Flexon made after many years of working with Gallus, or Heidelberg, is the digital Gallus Labelfire 340. First Labelfire in New Zealand at PhilStic

The latest investment of PhilStic, a family owned company in New Zealand, is a new Gallus Labelfire 340. It is the first Labelfire in New Zealand after two machine system being installed in Australia. PhilStic celebrates the installation as well as its 40th anniversary in operation with a ceremony in August 2021.

Dario Urbinati is new Head of Sales at Gallus

Dario Urbinati will take over as Head of Sales at Gallus, starting from 1st June 2021. The new Head of Sales is a familiar face at the Swiss long-established company. Dario Urbinati already worked for Gallus in his professional career, from June 2007 to August 2016, e.g. as Managing Director of the, at that time newly established, sales and service organization Gallus South East Asia.

Drinking glass decoration proves efficiency and quality
