Litografia Castello doubles investment in Gallus

By purchasing a Gallus ECS 340 with eight flexographic printing units for UV inks, the company has doubled the investment in a Gallus ECS 340 six-colour press it made three years ago. It is looking to become more flexible and tackle complex tasks with high-quality results.

Born in 1980, Aldo De Vincenzo founded Litografia Castello in 2007 and found a way of ensuring rapid growth despite difficult times. In just under ten years, the young entrepreneur from Reggio Emilia has turned the business into a benchmark for the production of self-adhesive labels, flat-cut labels and food-safe banderoles/bar code labels for well-known companies from the food industry.

A key moment in this success story was the decision in September 2013 to move into the self-adhesive label market. For this purpose, Litografia Castello acquired its first Gallus – an ECS 340 six-colour press including sheet delivery. This was a vital investment that proved highly successful and won the company major customers throughout Italy. Continuous growth enabled De Vincenzo to significantly expand the production site.
Three years after purchasing the first Gallus press, Litografia Castello decided on another Gallus ECS 340. Several factors contributed to this decision, including the machine’s technological benefits, its sturdy design – three years’ shift operation with no stoppages – and ongoing advice from the team at Heidelberg.
