Gallus Rotascreen - Screeny S-Line expands
Two years ago, a new generation of Screeny screen printing plates – the Screeny S-Line – was launched.
Now, Gallus Rotascreen is adding two new types to the S-Line generation.
The Screeny KMS and Screeny QMS are now in stock.

The Screeny KMS screen printing plate is the S-Line version of the Screeny KM. The Screeny KMS and Screeny KM exhibit identical printing properties such as image resolution and ink application thickness. In addition, the Screeny KMS offers the strength properties of the S-Line generation, which deliver robustness, flexibility and outstanding resilience.
The benefit for printers is clear:
The exceptional strength of the material and improved ink flow properties enable higher print speeds. Moreover, the much greater stability makes it easier to re-use the screen and makes handling during prepress stages much simpler. The Screeny S-Line is ideal for repeat orders.
The Screeny KMS is also available as a digital version (= Screeny KMD) with a LAMS coating. This version can be imaged with CtP devices such as the Esko CDI.
Another new product is the Screeny QMS. The Screeny QMS offers a mesh size of 370 openings per inch with an ink layer thickness of 6 microns, making it ideal for even the finest of elements or halftone printing with exceptional opacity.
Naturally, this Screeny printing plate has also been developed using S-Line criteria.

As a result, the printing plates are less sensitive and the workflow process has been simplified. What's more, it takes less than 30 minutes to produce a ready-to-print screen. The spring hardness of the Screeny S-Line products makes them resistant to dirt and splices on the paper web, no kinks appear in the screen and print quality also remains consistently high, even during long runs.
The Screeny S-Line product portfolio now comprises six types:
Screeny KMS, Screeny QMS, Screeny RSS, Screeny MFS, Screeny RVS and Screeny USS
The all-round Screeny RSS enables first-rate combinations of fine lines and solid areas. The Screeny RSS is also available as the Screeny Digital RSD with the black LAMS coating for exposure in CtP devices.
The Screeny RVS is designed specifically as a long-life screen for excellent coverage and as an alternative to the Screeny HV. The Screeny MFS is similar to the Screeny KF but is intended for longer-term usage. The Screeny USS boasts extremely high stability, making it ideal for printing large type and designs with large solid areas and for applying coatings with the appropriate amount of ink.
The entire Screeny S-Line features exceptional stability and spring hardness.
The Screeny S family complements the well known Screeny standard range and is marketed as a product line in its own right.
All 6 Screeny S-Line models can be imaged using conventional peripherals and parameters. No investment in new equipment is required and conversion work is minimal. The entire Screeny S-Line range is now available for delivery.
