Thanks to continued technological developments, computer to plate (CtP) has successfully carved out a niche for itself on the market, but it is predominantly used for flexographic and offset printing. In many companies, CtP makes a valuable contribution to cutting costs and streamlining processes.
The next logical step in this context was to consider the options for using CtP for screen printing. These discussions have now come a long way, and specific solutions are already available on the market.
Our industry dedicates a lot of attention to increasing the productivity of label printing machines. For decades, Gallus has continually improved its machines and cut the costs per printed label considerably. The next logical step is to integrate the data of various production stages into an end-to-end production planning system. Gallus is currently developing a platform that enables integration of the stages before and after printing. more
In December 2008, The Benson Group joined the Gallus family with receipt of their first in-line Label Printing Press. The Gallus EM 340 S sits proudly in its new purpose built facility at Medica Packaging in Crewe and will focus on producing Pharmaceutical labels in support of the already established carton and leaflet business. more
I started my career at Franchini & C. 24 years ago as an interpreter. In this neutral position I was able to start and, later, deepen, my knowledge of the label industry. I quickly realized that my strength lay in sales and marketing and, fortunately, my father’s factory needed support in that department. Therefore, I started my future career here as marketing manager, although the day-to-day activities often involve several other commercial aspects. more
